Museum of Textile and Industry
Location: "Montcada, 12"
Opening hours: open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday and Holidays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday closed.
Cloth and textile are never as rich and as preserved as those in here.


Funeral Museum

Location: "Sancho de Avila, 2"
Opening hours: open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday and Holidays after previous confirmation.
This place is actually beautiful given that you don t get the creeps easily.


Museum of the History of Barcelona
Location: "Casa Clariana Padell Pla del Rei"
Opening hours: open Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m, Sunday and Holidays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; July, August, September 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Three floors contain almost all of Barcelona 's political history and its popular tradition. In the cellar here are remains of Roman fortifications.

Location: "C. Bisbe Ca 3. Palacio Requensens"
Opening hours: open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Collection of portraits of important personalities.


Gaudí Museum

Location: "Parque G
Opening hours: open daily 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
In this house was born the great architect.
You know how important Gaudi is to the local art scene, and only this place can do him full justice.

Verdaguer Museum

Location: "Vallvidrera. Finca Vila Joana"
Opening hours: open Tuesday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In this house lived the poet Verdaguer, and you ll discover how he came to be and why he is much celebrated.


Museum of Science

Location: "Teodoro Roviralta, 55"
Opening hours: open daily except Monday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., visit of the Planetarium. 11.05, 12.00, 12.45, 1.30, 2.05, 4.05, 5.00, 5.45, 6.30 and 7.05.
Science has never been as fun as in here. A great tour for kids and adults alike.


Geological Museum

Location: "Parque de la Citadella"
Opening hours: open daily except Monday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Zoological Museum

Location: "Parque de la Ciutadella"
Opening hours: open daily except Monday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Animals, from a wide variety of classes and phylums, are displayed in a wide variety of purposes.


Museum of the History of Medicine

Location: "Pasaje Mercade, 11"
Opening hours: open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Learn about the science of medicine here.



Maritime Museum
Location: "Porta de la Pau"
Opening hours: open daily 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This place preserves well the history of navigation, including such famous documents like "El Libre del Consolat de Mar" and the oldest known codification of maritime laws. The museum is located in a medieval building.


Wax Figures Museum

Location: "Pasaje de la Blanca, 7"
Opening hours: open Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 4 to 7.30 p.m, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 8 p.m.

Features wax figures of famous personalities that are bigger than life. Mingle among the stars and feel like a celebrity yourself amongst this wax figures.


Palau de la Música Catalana

The Palau de la Música (Music Palace) is a Barcelona landmark -- from its polychrome ceramic ticket windows on the Carrer de Sant Pere Més Alt side to its overhead busts from left to right, of Palestrina, Bach, Beethoven, and of Wagner, found around the corner on Carrer Amadeus Vives .



It is celebrated as one of the world's most extraordinary music halls, with fa that are a riot of color and form, designed by Lluís Dom i Montaner in 1908. It is considered as the flagship of Barcelona 's modernist architecture. If you can't attend a concert, take a tour of the hall, offered daily at 10:30, 2, and 3pm (in English) for 700 ptas. / EUR4.21. Ticket office is located just off Via Laietana, around a corner from the hall itself.
