Park Güell is another creation by Antonio Gaudi> . This is the perfect leisure escape out of the busy centre of Barcelona The park lies on a hill in the Gracia district, with a great view over the city. Park Güell Barcelona is the perfect place to take a rest from the busy city, drinking a cold soda surrounded by the creations of Gaudi.

The park was originally meant to be a housing site. At the end there were only two houses build in the park. One of them was meant to be a show house, but when it was finished in 1904 it was put up for sale. When they couldn t find a buyer for the property Gaudi moved into the house with his family.
Park Güell contains amazing stone structures and beautiful buildings. Another unique feature in this park is the tiling. Gaudi created a couple of mosaic sculptures that are displayed throughout the park.
Park Güell Barcelona is a couple minutes outside the centre but it s definitely worth a visit. The park is one of the most visited attractions in Barcelona .
Please notice that you will have to take a 20 minute up hill walk from the Lesseps metro station.
